This summer, Helen Keller Hospital will have an active teen volunteer program open to all local students who maintain an A-B average. Teens must be 14 years old or older to apply. Fifty volunteers will be chosen. During last summer, many were refused due to an overwhelming response; therefore, get your application complete and mailed in quickly. For Deshler teens, the deadline for submission to Keller is early April. Along with the completed application, you must submit an explanation of approximately 500 words stating why you want to be a volunteer and a photo. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. You will be asked to list your preferences of times on your application; however, please be as flexible as possible.
