Parents will soon be receiving a letter from schools regarding a new parent notification system called SchoolCast. This notification system will allow the schools to communicate information to parents by either phone, cell phone, text messages and / or email.
Parents have the opportunity to log into the http://www.myschoolcast.com/ dashboard using a username and password provided in the letter from the school. From this dashboard, parents can add email, home phone, work phone, and cell phone information. Parents can also, set priority numbers to be contacted in the event of an emergency situation.
Schools will be using this system to communicate with parents regarding school events, any emergency situation, or even lunch account balances that fall below $4. We encourage parents to keep contact information current so that we can maintain a direct line of communication.
