All 11th grade students at Deshler High School must participate in the Alabama State Department of Education's accountability testing on the ACT with Writing.  The ACT measures students college readiness aptitude in reading, mathematics, English, science, and writing.  All scores are college reportable.  This is a free ACT test for all students.

Benchmark Scores on the ACT with Writing

• Reading - 22
• Mathematics - 22
• English - 18
• Science - 23
• Writing - score range is 2-12 with an average score of 6-7
