• We are excited to announce that G.W. Trenholm will be participating in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) for SY 2021-2022.  A free fresh fruit or vegetable snack will be provided for all students several days each week.  Snacks will be eaten in the classroom or on the playground and children will be encouraged to try the fruit or vegetable snack each day; however, they may opt to not participate if they do not like or cannot eat the fruit or vegetable for that day.

    Goals of FFVP:

    * Create healthier school environments by providing healtheir food choices

    * Expand the variety of fruits and vegetables children experience

    * Increase fruit and vegetable consumption

    * Make a difference in children's diets to impact their present and future health

Please encourage your child to participate in this program to help further emphasize the importance of good nutrition.  We appreciate your support in helping to make our children healthier.  If you have any questions about this program, please feel free to contact Paige Soeder, Child Nutrition Program Director, at 256-389-2900 ext. 9140 or via email at psoeder@tuscumbia.k12.al.us.
