Child Nutrition Program

We are pleased to inform you that Tuscumbia City Schools qualified for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which means that all students currently enrolled in any Tuscumbia City School are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge each day of the 2024-2025 school year.  No further action is required of you.  Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application.

Tuscumbia City Schools are committed to helping students make healthy food choices at school.  Our goal is that students will develop lifelong eating habits that will encourage them to adopt healthier ways of living and to reduce obesity and other chronic diseases.

Eating a healthy breakfast and lunch should be an important part of our lives.  Encouraging our students to eat nutritious meals in the cafeteria is our way of helping develop these lifelong eating habits.  Eating a well-balanced meal at both breakfast and lunch will help our young people to perform at their maximum potential in school.

The Tuscumbia City Child Nutrition Program's mission is to ensure our students enjoy healthy meals daily.  We believe that hungry children cannot learn.  We also strive to provide tasty, healthy meals daily for our customers and look forward to a great school year!
