G.W. Trenholm Primary School has high expectations of academic excellence for all students. The collaborative relationship between teachers/staff, parents, and students fosters a school environment in which students are excited about learning and achieving their greatest potential. Our goal is to help our students develop a love of learning that will continue throughout their lives. We engage students in multi-sensory learning experiences that are relevant, purposeful, challenging, and hands-on. We offer individualized, yet highly structured tiered instruction in reading and math with a focus on conceptual understanding, problem solving, and computational fluency. Additionally, we offer proactive early screening, enrichment, and  intervention services. G.W. Trenholm is proud to participate in AMSTI Learning and to be named a Bicentennial School of Excellence, a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama Healthy School, and a Dyslexia Learning Lab Site.
