State Report Card

In order to fulfill Alabama state law entitled the Legislative School Performance Recognition Program – Act No. 2012-402 as well as requirements of the federal Every Students Succeeds Act (ESSA), all public schools in Alabama will receive a letter grade report card detailing certain academic criteria.  In order to provide relevant information for parents, stakeholders, and educators the Alabama State Report Card was designed in order to be easily understood and a method of determining the educational proficiency of each school and system in the state of Alabama. Alabama State Report Card Information

GW Trenholm, RE Thompson, and Deshler Middle School are scored based on the following criteria.

Academic Proficiency in reading and math as measured by the ACAP- 40%

Academic Growth in reading and math as measured by the ACAP- 40%

Chronic Absenteeism (18 or more days absent, excused or unexcused) - 20%

 

Deshler High School are scored based on the following criteria.

Academic Proficiency in reading and math as measured by the ACT- 25%

Academic Growth in reading and math as measured by the ACT- 25%

Chronic Absenteeism (18 or more days absent, excused or unexcused) - 10%

Graduation Rate - 30%

College and Career Readiness (Qualifying ACT subscore, Workkeys Silver, Qualifying score on an AP test, Career Tech Credential, Military Enlistment, or Dual Enrollment credit) - 10%
