Hello,
Being the principal here at R. E. Thompson Intermediate School has been both a learning and rewarding experience. The faculty and staff are some of the most motivated, imaginative people I have ever worked with and the students are a real joy. With the bulk of my career being at the middle school level, it has been great to witness younger students develop into the students I used to teach. Their excitement for learning and willingness to please are still strong at this level, characteristics I don't take for granted. The philosophy I have in this position is to keep that excitement high. I feel students should enjoy coming to school and will succeed if they themselves have the desire to do well. I may be silly at times or get the students a little "wound up" from time to time, but it is all so that they know I am the kind of principal that is approachable and truly cares for them as a person not just a test score. I hope your experience coming through R. E. Thompson is a positive one and if there is ever anything you think I could do better please don't hesitate to contact me.
