About Me

I am a Tuscumbia native and a Deshler graduate and am so happy to be back here teaching music! I married my very talented husband, Colin, in October of 2020. We have 2 rescue dogs named Olive and Bonnie and a rescue cat named Opal. In addition to being a teacher, I am a local musician! When I'm not at school, I write songs, perform with my band across the state, and record my original music. I have worked in the entertainment field previously, from studios to music venues to arts museums. Right before teaching, I worked in digital marketing. The Shoals area has a rich music history and it is my goal to keep that flame burning by educating our students on music theory, the music industry, and vocal performance. Deshler encouraged me to pursue my own personal career in music, and I want to give back and inspire our talented students in the same way. Let's go Tigers!

Education

I attended the University of North Alabama and graduated in May of 2020. While there, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Entertainment Industry Music Business and Entertainment Industry Music Technology with a minor in Public Relations.
