Students, parents, and stakeholders, it is an absolute honor to serve as the assistant principal of Deshler Middle School. As a Deshler High School alumna, I take great pride in serving our community in this capacity. Tuscumbia City Schools is rich in traditions, and it is my vision to continue the comfort of those traditions while challenging our students, faculty, and staff to reach their greatest potential. As I assist at Deshler Middle School, I hope collectively we can achieve success in all aspects of the educational journey while fostering a safe environment for students.

About Me:

My husband Colby and I are natives of the Shoals area. I graduated from Deshler High School in 2010. During my undergraduate studies at the University of North Alabama, I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on collaborative elementary education. I have a Masters of Arts in Education with a focus on elementary education with an additional certificate in K-12 Instructional Leadership. I have two dogs, Max and Murphy, but at this time I do not have any children of my own. I am an ongoing learner and an avid reader. I enjoy exercising; however, I also love diet coke. My educational strengths are curriculum and instruction and building relationships with students, parents, and stakeholders. I was selected as the 2021-2022 Tuscumbia City Schools Teacher of the Year. I am an extremely extroverted individual and look forward to meeting and getting to know people.
