The Workforce Pathways Diploma is a new high school diploma option that focuses of career and technical education (CTE). It allows students to complete fewer math and science courses and earn credits through CTE courses instead. This diploma is designed for students who plan to enter the workforce directly after high school graduation.  It provides an alternative path to graduation for students in Alabama, allowing them to replace some required math and science courses with a sequence of CTE courses. Specifically, students pursuing this pathway only need  two math credits (Algebra I and Geometry) and two science credits (Biology and Physical Science with a lab). They can then fulfill the remaining graduation requirements through a sequence of three CTE courses, which do not need to be related to math or science.
